Isu Access Agreement

This new open access publishing model was developed in collaboration with UC, CMU, MIT and ISU. 1 In addition to the free open access publication, the faculties acting as corresponding authors for SPG magazines offer by this agreement a free one-year membership of the GSP. MIT libraries promote knowledge at MIT and beyond by providing a reliable foundation for the generation, dissemination, use, creative thinking, and preservation of information. Libraries imagine a world in which sustainable, rich, just and useful access to knowledge serves to strengthen and inspire humanity. An internal funding opportunity to partially cover Open Access exit fees is available for full-time teachers and P&S collaborators at or above 37th. The grant, Part A of the Publication Grant, covers half of the Article Processing Fee (APC) of up to $US 1,250. “This agreement brings to life a bold vision of how company publishers and universities can work together to make full open access a reality,” said Jeff MacKie-Mason, University librarian at UC Berkeley, co-chair of the team that oversees UC`s publisher negotiations, and member of ACM. “We can and will work with publishers of all sizes to make a successful transition to open access, so that researchers and the public can freely and immediately access the world`s knowledge.” 3 Similar to OLH, Punctum publishes all its open access works for free. The Iowa State University Library is proud to support Punctum`s mission to provide free open access publishing services through its library affiliation program. For information on Frontiers` institutional arrangements, please visit our institutional affiliations site or contact institutions@frontiersin.org to discuss your organization`s possibilities. Under these agreements, all Article Processing Fees (APIs) will be covered by the University Library: this agreement will further encourage authors in the State of Iowa to publish open access, thereby increasing the acceptance of open access by other researchers and the public at large to the results of research most often funded by public funds, while reducing costs. 4.
